The Bridlemile neighborhood is spread just below the city’s Southwest Hills and west of the Hillsdale neighborhood. Bridlemile is a primarily residential neighborhood, though it includes the commercial strip on the north side of Beaverton-Hillsdale. Bridlemile includes the historical community of Glencullen.
Bridlemile is is built on curvy roads beneath canopy of trees with a neighborhood layout that seems reclusive. The neighborhood environmental activism is well represented by the Bridlemile Creek Stewards. The volunteer organization organizes and conducts dozens of restoration projects. They have cleared thousands of feet of stream bank and saved hundreds of trees from ivy infestations. They have planted more than 8,000 native plants and installed erosion control.
